Alumni
The annual alumni workshop in San Telmo in Malaga and Seville will take place from Wednesday 23 to Saturday 26 May. This is an excellent opportunity to experience interesting case discussions and lectures with professors and practitioners in the areas of disruptive innovation. This year we will also have the opportunity to visit the Andalucía Technology Park in Malaga and understand how it is helping to drive innovation in the area.
The group will fly into Malaga on Wednesday evening. Thursday morning will include a visit Andalucía Technology Park to see a world class hub of innovation. We will then have a case study discussion with Manuel Dominguez, CEO of Mayoral children clothing company, to discuss challenges around managing family business. We will visit the San Telmo Malaga campus and have lunch there before heading to Seville. Over dinner in Seville, Ronan McNamee of Cuisine de France and BFree will share with us some of his experiences in leading and developing businesses.
On Friday Professor Juan Barea Martinez, who is an entrepreneur himself with a business in Silicon Valley, will lead a session in San Telmo exploring a case study on Uber - which is getting plenty of attention these days. Tom Raferty of SAP will then join us for a discussion on the future of digital. Maria J Almazor, CEO of Telefoncia Spain will speak to the group about her leadership journey.
We will finish out the evening together in downtown before returning to Dublin on a direct flight from Seville on Saturday at 2pm.
