Ronan O’Farrell
CEO
Ronan is one of the founding partners of the Timoney Leadership Institute and became its first CEO in 2015. In 2017 he was appointed a Regional Fellow of IESE Business School in Ireland.
A graduate of International Commerce from UCD, he worked initially as a Strategic Analyst and then as International Brand Manager with Baileys Irish Cream which is part of Diageo plc.
He subsequently worked as Managing Director of Lismullin Institute (www.lismullin.ie) which is an educational initiative inspired by the catholic organisation Opus Dei. During his time he managed a €12 million expansion of Lismullin Conference Centre at Tara in County Meath financed through a national fundraising campaign.
Along with other business leaders he launched the Lismullin Leadership Forum, which in 2012 led to the establishment of Timoney Leadership Institute.
He is a board member of various educational charities including Rosemont School in Stepaside in Dublin.

Clare McNamara
Programme Manager
Clare is a graduate of the Institute of Technology, the Irish Management Institute and has over 20 years’ managerial experience in the Hospitality Industry. From her time at the The Merrion, The Shelbourne & The KClub, Clare adds to the team at Timoney by bringing with her wealth of experience, knowledge and very valuable people skills. From U2 to US Presidents, Clare has looked after them all!!! As a concierge at this top level where “NO” was not an option she found that new challenges helped her build & develop more resourceful skills.
Clare lives in Sallins Co Kildare with her husband and is a mother to 2 boys.

Sean O’Kane
Managing Director (NI)
Sean is a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers in Ireland and a graduate of Trinity College Dublin, holding an MSc in Management Practice. A highly experienced retail banker, with 15 years’ senior management and executive experience, he spent most of his career in front line branch banking. In 2008 he was appointed Head of Regulatory Compliance for AIB Group (UK) plc, and was a member of the AIB UK Divisional Management Team. In December 2013 he availed of an early retirement opportunity to pursue other interests. He remains a director of AIB Pensions UK Limited, and joined the Timoney Leadership Institute as Programme Promotions Director in 2016.

Steven Purcell
Executive Education Director.
Steven is an experienced Executive Education Director and leads the commercial development activities within Timoney. A graduate of TU Dublin with a MSc. in Sales Management & a qualified Executive Coach, he has over 25 years’ experience in Client Development and Education Services, having previously worked with Global Knowledge (Skillsoft), IMI, Exertis and Dell Ireland.
Key to successful engagements is build trust among our clients & alumni in Timoney to deliver meaningful results with our impactful Advanced Leadership Programmes. A native of Tipperary, he lives with his family in Dun Laoghaire, a committee member of Kilmacud Musical Society and is also proud to support the great work of Cycle against Suicide charity.

Keith Rowe
Head of Programme Delivery
Keith holds a degree in economics and politics from UCD, a Higher Diploma in Education from Trinity College Dublin, a degree in Human Resource Management from the Dublin Institute of Technology and is a Chartered Member of CIPD.
Having worked in the field of education as a teacher, lecturer, school principal and business owner, he was a consultant with Intel’s e-learning division for two years before becoming CEO of the Racing Academy & Centre of Education (RACE), Ireland’s national training academy for the horse racing industry. He has extensive management experience in the SME, not-for-profit and education/training fields.
Keith completed the ALP with Timoney in 2015 and is a qualified executive coach, a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and is part of the Timoney executive coaching panel.

Paul Harman
Programme Director
Paul is one of the founders of the Timoney Leadership Institute and also director of the Lismullin Leadership Forum, from which the Institute developed. He is director of the biennial Cleraun Media Conferences which focus on professional integrity and ethics for journalists and filmmakers and also works with the information office of the Opus Dei Prelature. After graduating from UCD in mechanical engineering, he worked on automobile engine research, and later as a production engineer, production manager and general manager with international companies in Ireland and Italy.

Alan is a senior executive coach and change management expert-mentor who collaborates with the leading global business school of IESE, Barcelona, Spain in their prestigious advanced management programs. He is the Lead Coach for the Timoney Advanced Leadership Programme and coordinates the executive coaching aspect of the Timoney Advanced Leadership Programme.
He has worked closely with board members, CEOs, regional presidents and executive leadership teams of multi-million dollar operations for many years. His areas of interest include leadership development, executive team effectiveness and business performance. One of his specialities is a profound, world-class process to define his clients’ core brand essence which helps them secure their optimal role-work environment combination.

Currently based between Barcelona, Rio de Janeiro and Cairo, Alan is well connected with the business world in all of those areas. He has also prepared people for job processes including senior positions in European institutions like the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and designed and delivered executive development events, facilitated strategic implementation sessions, change management trainings and largescale employee engagement events for up to 800 attendees.
